"Your guide for newbies covers vastly all the points that worry me the most ... I read it eagerly the minute I received it, and several times more after. ... I wonder how people used to prepare for their first gradings in the olden days, before you guys wrote this guide ... In general, I like the understanding and friendly style of yours, and the tricks to gain a few secs in case you feel too tired! ..." Patricia, London

I disagree with your statement that aikido is always free. Unfortunately, aikido is NOT free. Most of the things in life are not free either. I don't think anyone goes to trainings for free. You need to pay for your trainings as it helps to keep you dojo up and running. We do the same here: maintaining a website and creating new instructional material is not free either, we also need some money to cover our own costs (especially if we want to improve by, e.g., buying cameras, improving lighting in the room where the videos are recorded, server upgrades, etc.). If you want to know more about the price of aikido ask someone how much is the registration to Hombu in order to get accepted as a black belt (whichever level).
We hope you can agree with this. If not, we wish you the best to find another ways to improve your knowledge.
Thanks for bringing up this point, it might occur to someone else as well and we think it was important to clarify this issue.
