The following is the transcript of an OnlineAikido interview with Mark Walsh who, we think, has shared very useful information and knowledge by answering our questions. To start with, please read about his background and then go on and learn about how Mark sees aikido on and off the mat.

Mark's Background with his own words
I started aikido 11 years ago at Leeds University with the Yorkshire Aikikai while doing a psychology degree and eventually I brought these two things together in a dissertation on the meaning of aikido in people's lives. I ended up working for an aikido related charity called Aiki Extensions and I did a lot of work in different countries primarily around conflict and around youth at Aiki Extensions. Last year I started a business using a lot of the embodied work, including some of the material from aikido with business clients, so that's what I do now.
The following six parts of the interview discuss various aspects of aikido and applications of its principles and philosophy in daily life and business.
